Inner Conflict

How much is enough really? Life keeps throwing problems in our path and the only thing we can do is to endure and keep going forward. We reach a point where we have to find courage and face problems in a stronger and more confident way, else we get left behind. All we really do though, is to slowly turn our hearts into stone. Sure, this helps us avoid a great deal of sadness and anger, but doesn’t it come at a cost?

So how much happiness do we really need to sacrifice in order to become capable to deal with all sorts of life’s difficulties?

This drawing was meant to capture the inner conflict that everyone faces throught their whole life. Some more than others.

Doesn’t everyone spend a great deal of time thinking about it? I sometimes wonder how much of that time is deciding it and how much of it is actually regretting all that we sacrificed so far.

Looking back, was it worth it?
